# Divest customer account

`POST /accounts/{zrn}/divest`

Divests an existing customer account

## Path parameters

- `zrn` string, required

## Headers

- `X-SCX-SIGNED` string, required
- `X-SCX-TIMESTAMP` string, required

## Request body

- DivestCustomerAccountBody — Request body for divesting a customer account. Divesting an account initiates the process of liquidating the account's assets and closing the account. This is typically used when an account is being closed or transferred to another entity.

## Response `202`

Request to divest the customer account accepted. Divestment is applied asynchronously; clients should listen for the `customer_account_status_changed` webhook event to observe the new state.
