# Update a Label

`PATCH /labels/{labelId}`

Updates a given Label.
Any parameters not provided are left unchanged.

## Path parameters

- `labelId` string, uuid, required — The unique identifier for a resource.

## Request body

- UpdateLabel
  - `name` string, safe-string, required — Name of the Label. Each Label name must be unique within the organization.\ This property is a [Safe String](https://developers.youtrust.com/reference/oas-specification#safe-string) allowing email, HTML and URL.

## Response `200`

OK

- Label
  - `id` string, uuid, required — Unique identifier of the Label.
  - `name` string, required — Name of the Label.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request
- `401` — Access unauthorized
- `403` — Access forbidden
- `404` — Resource not found
- `405` — This method is not allowed
- `415` — UnsupportedMediaType
- `429` — Too Many Requests, please try again later.
- `500` — Internal Server Error
