# Create subscription checkout

`POST /api/v1/subscribe`

Create a subscription checkout or billing-management URL only after the user confirms. The request never completes payment by itself.

## Request body

  - `tier` 'starter' | 'pro' | 'business' — Subscription tier to pre-select.

## Response `200`

Billing URL

- object
  - `url` string, uri, required
  - `status` 'checkout_created' | 'already_subscribed' | 'payment_issue', required
  - `message` string, required

## Other responses

- `401` — Unauthenticated
- `429` — Xquik tier rate limit exceeded. The response includes a `Retry-After` header with the number of seconds to wait before retrying.
- `default` — Unexpected error.
