# 🔒 Update tax

`PATCH /api/v1/tax/{id}`

This endpoint is currently in Beta and available for testing. It may contain bugs, and breaking changes can occur at any time without prior notice. We do not recommend using Beta endpoints in production environments. Should you choose to use it in production, you assume full responsibility for any resulting issues.

Updates a single tax entry.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

  - `name` string — Tax name
  - `taxType` string — Tax type
  - `taxRate` number, float — Tax rate
  - `countryCode` string — Country code in ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 format
  - `zipCode` string — ZIP code
  - `isDefault` boolean — Is default tax
  - `isStandard` boolean — Is standard tax
  - `defaultRevenueAccountNumber` string — Default revenue account number
  - `defaultDebitTaxAccountNumber` string, nullable — Default debit tax account number
  - `defaultCreditTaxAccountNumber` string, nullable — Default credit tax account number
  - `defaultCostAccountNumber` string, nullable — Default credit tax account number
  - `validFrom` string, date-time — Valid from date
  - `validUntil` string, date-time, nullable — Valid until date

## Response `204`

Operation completed successfully, no response body

- `403` — Unable to authorize the client
- `404` — XGL Problem
- `415` — Resource representation send in the request is not supported.
- `429` — Too many API calls made.
