# Create tracking information

`POST /api/v1/shipments`

Creates tracking information

## Request body

- object
  - `type` 'deliveryNote', required
  - `deliveryNote` object, required — Reference to another resource
    - `id` string, required — Resource identifier.
  - `shippingMethod` object, nullable — Nullable reference to another resource
    - `id` string, required — Resource identifier.
  - `trackingNumber` string
  - `trackingLink` string, nullable
  - `parcelCount` integer, nullable
  - `weight` number, nullable
  - `sentAt` string, nullable — The date of shipment sent.
  - `sendTrackingMail` boolean, nullable — Send Tracking mail if true, if not set, project settings will be used
  - `updateDeliveryNoteShippingMethod` boolean, nullable — Change shipping method of delivery note to given one (if not given shipping method will be updated)

Operation completed successfully, no response body

## Other responses

- `400` — IETF RFC 9457 Problem API compliant response
- `401` — Unable to authenticate the client
- `403` — Unable to authorize the client
- `404` — Resource was not found or not enough access privileges
- `409` — Request conflict with the current state of the target resource
- `415` — Resource representation send in the request is not supported.
- `429` — Too many API calls made.
