# Retrieve a profile by ID

`GET /v2/profiles/{profileId}`

Get profile info by ID.

Profile object.

- union — A profile represents an identity that can send and receive money through Wise. There are two types: **Personal** (an individual) and **Business** (a company). The fields returned vary depending on the profile type.

    - `type` 'PERSONAL', required — Type of profile.
    - `id` integer — Unique identifier for the profile.
    - `publicId` string — Publicly accessible identifier for the profile.
    - `userId` integer — The ID of the user associated with this profile.
    - `address` Address — Address associated with a profile.
      - `id` integer — ID of the address.
      - `addressFirstLine` string — First line of the address.
      - `city` string — City of the address.
      - `countryIso2Code` string — Two-letter ISO country code.
      - `countryIso3Code` string — Three-letter ISO country code.
      - `postCode` string — Postal code of the address.
      - `stateCode` string, nullable — State code of the address (can be null for some countries).
    - `email` string — Primary email address for the profile.
    - `createdAt` string, date-time — Timestamp when the profile was created (ISO 8601 format).
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time — Timestamp when the profile was last updated (ISO 8601 format).
    - `avatar` string, nullable — Link to person avatar image.
    - `currentState` 'HIDDEN' | 'VISIBLE' | 'DEACTIVATED' — Current status of this profile.
    - `contactDetails` object — Contact information for the profile.
      - `email` string — Contact email address.
      - `phoneNumber` string — Contact phone number.
    - `firstName` string — First name of the profile holder.
    - `lastName` string — Last name of the profile holder.
    - `preferredName` string — Preferred name of the profile holder.
    - `dateOfBirth` string — Date of birth of the profile holder.
    - `phoneNumber` string — Phone number of the profile holder.
    - `secondaryAddresses` Address[] — An array of secondary addresses associated with the profile.

    - `operationalAddresses` Address[] — An array of operational addresses for the business.

## Other responses

- `429` — Rate limit exceeded. Retry after the number of seconds specified in the `Retry-After` header.
