# Delete payment method

`DELETE /payment_methods/{id}`

Delete a saved payment method. Cannot delete a payment method attached to an active subscription.

Required permissions:
 - `member:payment_methods:manage`

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `company_id` string, nullable — The unique identifier of the company. Provide either this or member_id, not both. Omit both to address your own saved payment methods.
- `member_id` string, nullable — The unique identifier of the member. Provide either this or company_id, not both. Omit both to address your own saved payment methods.

## Response `200`

A successful response

- boolean — Represents `true` or `false` values.

- `400` — Bad request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden
- `404` — Not found
- `422` — Verification required
- `429` — Too many requests
- `500` — Internal server error
