# Get the notes associated with an incident

`GET /api-public/v1/incidents/{incidentNumber}/notes`

Get notes any associated with a single incident with the provided incident number.

This API may be called a maximum of 2 times per second.

## Path parameters

- `incidentNumber` integer, required

## Headers

- `X-VO-Api-Id` string, required
- `X-VO-Api-Key` string, required

## Response `200`

The set of notes associated with the incidentNumber.

- Notes
  - `name` string — The unique name of your note
  - `displayName` string — The name that will typically be displayed when viewing each note. This plus the name field can often be used as a key/value pair themselves.
  - `json_value` object — A valid JSON object of arbitrary key value pairs. This is the k/v store of notes data you'll want to attach to an incident. Maximum size = 16 MB

## Other responses

- `400` — Problem with the request arguments. The response payload may include an error message.
- `401` — Authentication parameters missing
- `403` — Authentication failed or rate-limit reached
- `404` — Path not found
- `500` — Internal Server Error
