# Delete Chat

`DELETE /chats/{chatId}`

Deletes a chat and all its associated messages. The requester must have edit access to the chat.

## Path parameters

- `chatId` string, required — The unique identifier of the chat.

## Response `200`

Response for status 200

  - `chatId` string, required — The ID of the deleted chat.

- `401` — Response for status 401
- `403` — Response for status 403
- `404` — Response for status 404
- `422` — Response for status 422
