# Legacy get block by height or hash.

`GET /api/v1/block/{blockId}`

Bitcore Insight-compatible V1 block shape for Bitcoin-type coins.

Load estimate: Medium to high; grows with block transaction count and
legacy payload size.

## Path parameters

- `blockId` string, required

## Response `200`

Legacy block payload.

- LegacyObject — Legacy Bitcore Insight-compatible payload. Use API V2 for stable typed schemas.

## Other responses

- `default` — Public API error. Public validation errors are HTTP 400; internal errors are HTTP 500.
