# Create a Deposit

`POST /apply/deposit`

## Request body

- object
  - `ach` object — ACH payment instructions
    - `account_type` string — One of `checking` or `savings`
    - `routing_number` string — ABA routing transit number associated with the account
  - `amount` string, required — Amount of money to transfer
  - `card` object — Debit card payment instructions
  - `card_token` object — Tokenized debit card payment instructions
    - `description` string — Description to use when posting the transaction to the virtual ledger
    - `first_name` string — First name of the card holder
    - `last_name` string — Last name of the card holder
    - `token` string — Token representing the card
  - `name_on_account` string, required — Name of the owner of the account providing the deposit
  - `userdata` object — Arbitrary data the user can attach to the object
