# Chart of Accounts

`POST /v6/reports/chartOfAccounts`

Generate a Chart of Accounts Report

## Request body

- ChartOfAccountsRequestDto
  - `exportType` 'JSON' | 'CSV' — Export format for the report
  - `recipients` Recipients — Email recipients for the report
    - `emails` string[] — Primary email recipients
  - `accountingMethod` 'ACCRUAL' | 'CASH' — Accounting method to generate the report in. Defaults to the company's configured accounting method.

  - `data` ReportDtoChartOfAccountsReportJson — The data generated by the action performed.

      - `name` string — Name of the account
      - `glAccount` GlAccountExpanded — GL account details
        - `id` string, required — Id of the GL account
        - `name` string — Name of the GL account
        - `accountNo` string — Number of the GL account
        - `type` 'ASSET' | 'LIABILITY' | 'EQUITY' | 'INCOME' | 'COGS' | 'EXPENSE' | 'OTHER_INCOME' | 'OTHER_EXPENSE' | 'SUSPENSE' — Type the GL account
        - `iconUrl` string — Icon URL of the GL account
        - `displayName` string — Display name of the GL account
      - `balance` integer — Account balance in cents
      - `children` ChartOfAccountsReportJson[] — Child accounts (max four levels of depth)
    - `url` string — URL to download the csv report
    - `meta` ReportMeta — Metadata about the generated report
      - `title` string — Report title
      - `generatedOn` string, date-time — Date and time when the report was generated
      - `generatedBy` string — User who generated the report
      - `footerLine` string — Footer line for the report

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request
- `401` — Not authenticated
- `403` — Not authorized
- `404` — Endpoint not found
- `500` — Internal server error
