# DELETE /venues/{id}

`DELETE /venues/{id}`

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Response `200`

Deletes a venue and returns its data

- Venue
  - `id` integer — The venue WordPress post ID
  - `global_id` string — The venue ID used to globally identify in Event Aggregator
  - `global_id_lineage` string[] — An Array containing the lineage of where this organizer comes from, this should not change after the organizer is created.
  - `author` integer — The venue author WordPress post ID
  - `date` string — The venue creation date in the site time zone
  - `date_utc` string — The venue creation date in UTC time
  - `modified` string — The venue last modification date in the site time zone
  - `modified_utc` string — The venue last modification date in UTC time
  - `status` string — The venue status
  - `url` string — The URL to the venue page
  - `venue` string — The venue name
  - `description` string — The venue long description
  - `excerpt` string — The venue short description
  - `slug` string — The venue slug
  - `image` Image
    - `url` string, uri — The URL to the full size version of the image
    - `id` integer — The image WordPress post ID
    - `extension` string — The image file extension
    - `width` integer — The image natural width in pixels
    - `height` integer — The image natural height in pixels
    - `sizes` ImageSize[] — The details about each size available for the image
      - `width` integer — The image width in pixels in the specified size
      - `height` integer — The image height in pixels in the specified size
      - `mime-type` string — The image mime-type
      - `url` string, uri — The link to the image in the specified size on the site
  - `show_map` boolean — Whether the map should be shown for the venue or not
  - `show_map_link` boolean — Whether the map link should be shown for the venue or not
  - `address` string — The venue address
  - `city` string — The venue city
  - `country` string — The venue country
  - `province` string — The venue province
  - `state` string — The venue state
  - `zip` string — The venue ZIP code
  - `phone` string — The venue phone number
  - `website` string — The venue website URL
  - `stateprovince` string — The venue state or province
  - `geo_lat` number, double — The venue geo latitude
  - `geo_lng` number, double — The venue geo longitude

## Other responses

- `400` — The venue post ID is missing or does not exist.
- `403` — The current user cannot delete the venue with the specified ID.
- `410` — The venue with the specified ID has been deleted already.
- `500` — The venue with the specified ID could not be deleted.
