# Update a contact note

`PUT /api/v2/notes/{id}`

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Request body

  - `note` string, required — Contact Note text.

## Response `201`

Returned when successful.

- ResourceLinkResponse — Response contains paginated list of data items.
  - `id` integer, required — Resource ID.
  - `href` string, required — A link to this resource. If you want to fetch it, just **GET** this address.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request.
- `401` — Unauthorized request.
- `403` — Returned when trying to edit a contact note shared to a current user.
- `404` — Request data not found.
