# Create a new list

`POST /api/v2/lists`

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required — List name.
  - `shared` boolean — Should the new list be **shared** among all the sub-accounts?
  - `favorited` boolean — Is the list favorited? Default is false.
  - `isDefault` boolean — Is the list default for new contacts (web only)?

## Response `201`

Returned when successful.

- ResourceLinkResponse — Response contains paginated list of data items.
  - `id` integer, required — Resource ID.
  - `href` string, required — A link to this resource. If you want to fetch it, just **GET** this address.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request.
- `401` — Unauthorized request.
