Provider-agnostic, workspace-level preview of a connected SCM source, before any skill inventory exists. Given a provider (github, gitlab, or bitbucket), returns whether that provider is connected for the workspace, the connected account/org/group/workspace, and how many repositories the connection can currently see. repositorySelection is GitHub-only and is null for other providers.
