# Metadata / schema for a specific Statistics Estonia table

`GET /api/v1/statistical-agencies/stat-estonia/tables/{table_id}`

Return the schema for a PxWeb table: title, dimensions (codes and labels in Estonian), admissible value codes, and which dimension is the time axis. Pass `path` so Sugra can locate the parent folder (the client does not maintain a static table->path map); `table_id` may include the `.px` / `.PX` extension or omit it - Sugra resolves the correct extension from the tree listing.

## Path parameters

- `table_id` string, required — Statistics Estonia table id (e.g. `IA002.px`, `RAA0012.PX`, or just `IA002`).

## Query parameters

- `path` string, required — Slash-separated parent path for the table (e.g. `majandus/hinnad`).

## Response `200`

Table schema plus upstream metadata with a UTC-normalised `updated` timestamp.

- EnvelopeStatEstoniaTableInfoPayload
  - `data` StatEstoniaTableInfoPayload, required — Schema for a specific PxWeb table.
    - `table_id` string, required — Canonical table id including `.px` / `.PX` extension.
    - `path` string, required — Full PxWeb path under `/en/stat/`.
    - `title` string, nullable — Table title as provided by Statistics Estonia.
    - `variables` StatEstoniaVariable[] — Dimensions defined by the table.
      - `code` string, required — Estonian dimension code. Commonly `Aasta` (year), `Kvartal` (quarter), `Kuu` (month), `Näitaja` (indicator), `Vaatlusperiood` (compact time code), `Tegevusala` (economic activity), `Sugu` (sex), `Vanuserühm` (age group).
      - `text` string, required — Translated dimension label.
      - `values` string[] — Admissible value codes (first 8 returned when long).
      - `valueTexts` string[] — Translated value labels, parallel to `values`.
      - `time` boolean, nullable — True when this is the time axis.
      - `elimination` boolean, nullable — True when this dimension may be omitted from a query (aggregate available).
    - `metadata` StatEstoniaMetadata — Upstream metadata block with Sugra-normalised `updated`.
      - `updated` string, nullable — Last-updated timestamp for the table, sourced from the parent tree listing (POST responses return a sentinel `9999-12-31` that Sugra discards). Normalised from Europe/Tallinn local time to UTC ISO-8601.
      - `label` string, nullable — Upstream PxWeb label for the table.
      - `source` string, nullable — Attribution string as delivered by Statistics Estonia.
  - `meta` SugraMeta, required — Metadata attached to every /api/v1/* response envelope.
    - `endpoint` string, required — Requested endpoint path.
    - `data_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp of the source data, not of the request.
    - `response_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp when this response was produced.
    - `provider` string, required — API name and version.
    - `source` string, nullable — Identifier of the primary upstream source used for this response.
    - `attribution` string, nullable — Human-readable attribution mandated by an upstream source (e.g. a securities regulator or self-regulatory organization). Present only on responses whose source requires the owner and source to be clearly identified. Do not remove or alter it when using the response.
    - `fallback_used` boolean, nullable — True when the primary source failed and a fallback produced the data.
    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
    - `cached` boolean, nullable — True when this response was served from the internal cache.
    - `stale` boolean, nullable — True when the cached response was returned after the upstream rate-limited or errored. Clients can use this to detect degraded data.

## Other responses

- `401` — Missing or invalid `x-api-key` header. JSON body with a stable `code` distinguishing `missing_api_key` (no header sent) from `invalid_api_key` (header sent, key not accepted); any other 401 source carries the generic `unauthorized` with its detail as `reason`. Plus `hint`. `plan` is always null on 401 - an unauthenticated request has no plan; quota exhaustion is 429, not 401.
- `422` — Validation Error
- `429` — Daily rate limit exceeded. Check `X-RateLimit-Reset` for the next window.
- `503` — Upstream source is temporarily unavailable. Retry after a short delay.
