# Securities delistings (Form 25 / 25-NSE) for one date

`GET /api/v1/sec/edgar/delistings`

Securities delisting notices (Form 25 issuer voluntary delisting / 25-NSE exchange-initiated delisting) filed on a single date, read from the delistings by-date rollup. Defaults to the latest completed manifest snapshot date when ``date`` is omitted. Each row carries ``security_type`` ('equity'|'debt'|'unknown'|null) and a DERIVED ``effective_date`` with ``effective_date_basis`` describing how it was derived. NOTE: the row ``cik`` is the FILER cik (for a 25-NSE that is the exchange, not the issuer). Retention 730 days; out-of-window date returns 422. Per-CIK /delistings/{cik} lookup is a planned fast-follow.

## Query parameters

- `date` string, nullable — Date (YYYY-MM-DD). Defaults to latest completed manifest snapshot.

## Response `200`

Delistings by-date payload.

- EnvelopeSecEdgarDelistingsPayload
  - `data` SecEdgarDelistingsPayload, required — Response payload for ``/delistings``.
    - `date` string, required — Rollup date (ISO).
    - `sec_publish_date` string, nullable — SEC publish date of the source daily-index (ISO).
    - `total_delistings` integer, required — Total delisting notices on this date.
    - `delistings` DelistingNotice[], required — Delisting notices (Form 25 / 25-NSE) filed on this date.
      - `exchange` string, nullable — Exchange that filed or is named in the delisting.
      - `issuer_name` string, nullable — Issuer company name.
      - `security_description` string, nullable — Description of the delisted security.
      - `rule_provision` string, nullable — Rule provision cited for the delisting.
      - `signature_date` string, nullable — Signature date on the filing (ISO).
      - `filed_by` string, nullable — Who filed: 'exchange' | 'issuer' | null.
      - `security_type` string, nullable — Security type: 'equity' | 'debt' | 'unknown'. API-surface rename of the ingest ``security_class`` field (DATA-1.5). Never defaulted to equity - an absent/unmapped value surfaces as null.
      - `effective_date` string, nullable — DERIVED effective date of the delisting (ISO). See effective_date_basis.
      - `effective_date_basis` string, nullable — How effective_date was derived (e.g. 'derived_filed_at_plus_10d').
      - `cik` string, nullable — FILER CIK (10-digit zero-padded). For a 25-NSE this is the EXCHANGE CIK, not the issuer. Per-CIK /delistings/{cik} lookup is a planned fast-follow, not in this release.
      - `accession` string, nullable — SEC accession number.
      - `form` string, nullable — Source form: '25' or '25-NSE'.
      - `filed_at` string, nullable — Filing publish timestamp (ISO).
      - `primary_doc_url` string, nullable — URL of the Form 25 primary document on SEC EDGAR.
  - `meta` SugraMeta, required — Metadata attached to every /api/v1/* response envelope.
    - `endpoint` string, required — Requested endpoint path.
    - `data_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp of the source data, not of the request.
    - `response_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp when this response was produced.
    - `provider` string, required — API name and version.
    - `source` string, nullable — Identifier of the primary upstream source used for this response.
    - `attribution` string, nullable — Human-readable attribution mandated by an upstream source (e.g. a securities regulator or self-regulatory organization). Present only on responses whose source requires the owner and source to be clearly identified. Do not remove or alter it when using the response.
    - `fallback_used` boolean, nullable — True when the primary source failed and a fallback produced the data.
    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
    - `cached` boolean, nullable — True when this response was served from the internal cache.
    - `stale` boolean, nullable — True when the cached response was returned after the upstream rate-limited or errored. Clients can use this to detect degraded data.

## Other responses

- `401` — Missing or invalid `x-api-key` header. JSON body with a stable `code` distinguishing `missing_api_key` (no header sent) from `invalid_api_key` (header sent, key not accepted); any other 401 source carries the generic `unauthorized` with its detail as `reason`. Plus `hint`. `plan` is always null on 401 - an unauthenticated request has no plan; quota exhaustion is 429, not 401.
- `422` — Validation Error
- `429` — Daily rate limit exceeded. Check `X-RateLimit-Reset` for the next window.
- `503` — Upstream source is temporarily unavailable. Retry after a short delay.
