# Pass-through BCRP series fetch

`GET /api/v1/central-banks/bcrp/series/{code}`

Fetch any Banco Central de Reserva del Peru series by its code. Returns the raw BCRP envelope reshaped into Sugra's observation model. Use /catalog to discover codes; BCRP's own catalog page is not machine-readable. Codes are case-sensitive (upper-case).

## Path parameters

- `code` string, required — BCRP series code (upper-case alphanumeric, e.g. PN01273PM, PD04637PD).

## Query parameters

- `start_period` string, nullable — Optional start period. Format depends on frequency: YYYY-M for monthly (e.g. 2024-1), YYYY-MM-DD for daily, YYYY-Q for quarterly, YYYY for annual.
- `end_period` string, nullable — Optional end period in the same format as start_period.
- `lang` string — Language of series title and names: 'esp' (Spanish, default) or 'ing' (English).

## Response `200`

Single-series payload with title, series metadata, and observations.

- EnvelopeBcrpSeriesPayload
  - `data` BcrpSeriesPayload, required — Payload for /series/{code} and /batch.
    - `title` string, required — BCRP config.title value for this request (title of the series family).
    - `series` BcrpSeries[], required — Series list. /series/{code} returns one entry; /batch returns up to 10.
      - `code` string, required — BCRP series code (e.g. 'PN01273PM').
      - `name` string, required — BCRP's series display name (from config.series[].name). May be Spanish or English depending on lang.
      - `decimals` integer, nullable — Recommended decimal precision for display (from config.series[].dec).
      - `observations` BcrpObservation[], required — Series observations ordered as returned by BCRP (typically ascending by period).
        - `period` string, required — Raw period label as returned by BCRP (e.g. 'Ene.2024', '01.Abr.26', 'T1.23', '2024').
        - `date` string, nullable — Period converted to ISO 8601 UTC (YYYY-MM-DDT00:00:00Z). Monthly/quarterly/annual periods use the last calendar day of the interval.
        - `value` number, nullable — Observation value cast to float. Null when BCRP returns an empty string (missing observation).
  - `meta` SugraMeta, required — Metadata attached to every /api/v1/* response envelope.
    - `endpoint` string, required — Requested endpoint path.
    - `data_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp of the source data, not of the request.
    - `response_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp when this response was produced.
    - `provider` string, required — API name and version.
    - `source` string, nullable — Identifier of the primary upstream source used for this response.
    - `attribution` string, nullable — Human-readable attribution mandated by an upstream source (e.g. a securities regulator or self-regulatory organization). Present only on responses whose source requires the owner and source to be clearly identified. Do not remove or alter it when using the response.
    - `fallback_used` boolean, nullable — True when the primary source failed and a fallback produced the data.
    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
    - `cached` boolean, nullable — True when this response was served from the internal cache.
    - `stale` boolean, nullable — True when the cached response was returned after the upstream rate-limited or errored. Clients can use this to detect degraded data.

## Other responses

- `401` — Missing or invalid `x-api-key` header. JSON body with a stable `code` distinguishing `missing_api_key` (no header sent) from `invalid_api_key` (header sent, key not accepted); any other 401 source carries the generic `unauthorized` with its detail as `reason`. Plus `hint`. `plan` is always null on 401 - an unauthenticated request has no plan; quota exhaustion is 429, not 401.
- `422` — Validation Error
- `429` — Daily rate limit exceeded. Check `X-RateLimit-Reset` for the next window.
- `503` — Upstream source is temporarily unavailable. Retry after a short delay.
