# Finnish quarterly GDP

`GET /api/v1/stat-finland/gdp`

Quarterly Finnish GDP and national accounts aggregates from the Statistics Finland PxWeb table `ntp/statfin_ntp_pxt_132h.px`. Series start 1990Q1. Default indicator is the original series at constant 2015 prices (`tasmvv2015`); the table also covers seasonally adjusted, trend, nominal, and year-on-year volume change.

## Query parameters

- `last_n` integer — Number of most-recent quarters to return.
- `transaction` string — Taloustoimi (transaction) code. `B1GMH` is GDP at market prices.
- `indicator` string — Tiedot code. Defaults to the original series at 2015 reference prices.

## Response `200`

Quarterly GDP observations for the requested transaction code and Tiedot.

- EnvelopeStatFinGdpPayload
  - `data` StatFinGdpPayload, required
    - `table_id` string, required — PxWeb table identifier.
    - `indicator` string, required — Tiedot code selected from the GDP table.
    - `transaction` string, required — Taloustoimi code selected (default `B1GMH` = GDP at market prices).
    - `unit` string, required — Measurement unit.
    - `observations` StatFinGdpObservation[], required — Quarterly GDP observations.
      - `period` string, required — PxWeb period code as returned upstream: `YYYYMnn` for months, `YYYYQn` for quarters, `YYYY` for years.
      - `time` string, nullable — ISO-8601 UTC timestamp for the first day of the period (months -> first day of month, quarters -> first day of quarter, years -> Jan 1).
      - `value` number, nullable — Parsed numeric value. `null` when upstream value is `.` or `..` (suppressed or missing).
      - `value_raw` string, nullable — Raw value string as delivered by PxWeb; useful for debugging.
      - `Taloustoimi` string, nullable — National Accounts transaction code. `B1GMH` is GDP at market prices.
    - `count` integer, required — Number of observations returned.
    - `metadata` StatFinMetadata — Raw metadata block copied from PxWeb.
      - `updated` string, nullable — Upstream last-updated timestamp, normalised to ISO-8601 UTC (PxWeb delivers dot-separated time like `2026-04-14T05.00.00Z`; Sugra replaces the dots with colons).
      - `label` string, nullable — Human-readable table label.
      - `source` string, nullable — Source attribution string as delivered by Statistics Finland.
  - `meta` SugraMeta, required — Metadata attached to every /api/v1/* response envelope.
    - `endpoint` string, required — Requested endpoint path.
    - `data_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp of the source data, not of the request.
    - `response_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp when this response was produced.
    - `provider` string, required — API name and version.
    - `source` string, nullable — Identifier of the primary upstream source used for this response.
    - `attribution` string, nullable — Human-readable attribution mandated by an upstream source (e.g. a securities regulator or self-regulatory organization). Present only on responses whose source requires the owner and source to be clearly identified. Do not remove or alter it when using the response.
    - `fallback_used` boolean, nullable — True when the primary source failed and a fallback produced the data.
    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
    - `cached` boolean, nullable — True when this response was served from the internal cache.
    - `stale` boolean, nullable — True when the cached response was returned after the upstream rate-limited or errored. Clients can use this to detect degraded data.

## Other responses

- `401` — Missing or invalid `x-api-key` header.
- `422` — Validation Error
- `429` — Daily rate limit exceeded. Check `X-RateLimit-Reset` for the next window.
- `503` — Upstream source is temporarily unavailable. Retry after a short delay.
