# Single vessel by MMSI (Northern Europe regional near-live)

`GET /api/v1/maritime/vessels/{mmsi}`

> **Deprecated.**

Look up one vessel's latest known position by MMSI within the Northern Europe regional near-live snapshot (Baltic + Norway). Scans both regions when region is omitted. Regional coverage only, bounded to these waters on a 5-minute cadence. AIS is self-reported. Returns 404 when the MMSI is not present in the current snapshot.

## Path parameters

- `mmsi` string, required — 9-digit MMSI.

## Query parameters

- `region` 'baltic' | 'norway' — Restrict the scan to one region; omit for both.

## Response `200`

Single vessel record with attribution, or 404 when not found.

- EnvelopeAisVesselData
  - `data` AisVesselData, required — Payload for GET /maritime/vessels/{mmsi}.

    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
