# Aggregated financial ratios snapshot

`GET /api/v1/fundamentals/{ticker}/ratios`

~26 financial ratios computed from the latest SEC XBRL filing in one call: margins, returns (ROE/ROA/ROIC), leverage, liquidity, efficiency, per-share, and cash-flow ratios. Pure SEC (Tier S) - no market price, so price multiples (P/E, P/B, EV/EBITDA, yields) are excluded by design. Each component statement carries source-filing provenance.

## Path parameters

- `ticker` string, required — Security ticker symbol.

## Query parameters

- `usd` boolean — When true, attach an `fx` provenance block (reporting currency + USD spot reference rate at the snapshot period end). Ratios are currency-invariant and never gain a `_usd` value; the rate is exposed only so a client can convert per-share figures itself.

## Response `200`

Computed financial ratios with per-statement SEC filing provenance.

- EnvelopeFundamentalsRatios
  - `data` FundamentalsRatios, required
    - `ticker` string, required — Security ticker symbol.
    - `cik` string, required — SEC Central Index Key (10-digit, zero-padded).
    - `as_of` string, nullable — Latest income-statement period end (YYYY-MM-DD).
    - `source` string — Upstream data source identifier.
    - `ratios` object — Pure-SEC financial ratios computed from the latest XBRL period. Margins, returns (ROE/ROA/ROIC), leverage, liquidity, efficiency, per-share, and cash-flow ratios. A null value means the underlying XBRL inputs were missing or the divisor was zero. Price multiples (P/E, P/B, EV/EBITDA, yields) are excluded - they require market price, which is not in XBRL.
    - `provenance` RatiosProvenance
      - `income` StatementProvenance
        - `period` string, nullable — Report period end date (YYYY-MM-DD).
        - `accession_number` string, nullable — SEC accession number of the source filing.
        - `filing_url` string, nullable — Direct URL to the source filing index on sec.gov.
      - `balance` StatementProvenance
        - `period` string, nullable — Report period end date (YYYY-MM-DD).
        - `accession_number` string, nullable — SEC accession number of the source filing.
        - `filing_url` string, nullable — Direct URL to the source filing index on sec.gov.
      - `cashflow` StatementProvenance
        - `period` string, nullable — Report period end date (YYYY-MM-DD).
        - `accession_number` string, nullable — SEC accession number of the source filing.
        - `filing_url` string, nullable — Direct URL to the source filing index on sec.gov.
  - `meta` SugraMeta, required — Metadata attached to every /api/v1/* response envelope.
    - `endpoint` string, required — Requested endpoint path.
    - `data_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp of the source data, not of the request.
    - `response_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp when this response was produced.
    - `provider` string, required — API name and version.
    - `source` string, nullable — Identifier of the primary upstream source used for this response.
    - `attribution` string, nullable — Human-readable attribution mandated by an upstream source (e.g. a securities regulator or self-regulatory organization). Present only on responses whose source requires the owner and source to be clearly identified. Do not remove or alter it when using the response.
    - `fallback_used` boolean, nullable — True when the primary source failed and a fallback produced the data.
    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
    - `cached` boolean, nullable — True when this response was served from the internal cache.
    - `stale` boolean, nullable — True when the cached response was returned after the upstream rate-limited or errored. Clients can use this to detect degraded data.

## Other responses

- `401` — Missing or invalid `x-api-key` header.
- `422` — Validation Error
- `429` — Daily rate limit exceeded. Check `X-RateLimit-Reset` for the next window.
- `503` — Upstream source is temporarily unavailable. Retry after a short delay.
