# Top net buyers/sellers from S124 transaction-flow data

`GET /api/v1/ecb/shs/flows`

Countries ranked by absolute transaction-flow magnitude. `period=latest` returns each country's most recent quarterly flow value; `period=yoy` aggregates the last four quarters per country. Positive flow value = net buyer (increased holdings via transactions); negative = net seller. Distinct from `/changes` (stock delta) because flow data excludes valuation effects. Excludes the U2 aggregate; skips countries with no flow data.

## Query parameters

- `period` string — `latest` = most recent flow quarter per country; `yoy` = sum of last 4 quarters per country.
- `limit` integer

    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
    - `cached` boolean, nullable — True when this response was served from the internal cache.
    - `stale` boolean, nullable — True when the cached response was returned after the upstream rate-limited or errored. Clients can use this to detect degraded data.
