# CNB daily CZK fixing for major currencies

`GET /api/v1/cnb/fx`

Daily Czech National Bank exchange rate fixing against the koruna (CZK) for approximately 30 major currencies plus SDR. Sugra normalises the upstream `amount` multiplier (1, 100, or 1000) to expose per-unit mid rates - for example, JPY which CNB quotes per 100 units is normalised to CZK per 1 JPY. Returns the last valid business-day fixing when the request falls on a weekend or Czech public holiday (upstream behaviour).

## Query parameters

- `date` string, nullable — Optional fixing date (YYYY-MM-DD). Defaults to today; CNB returns the last valid business day if the date is a weekend or holiday.

## Response `200`

Full CNB CZK fixing table for the latest business day with per-unit mid rates.

      - `valid_for` string, nullable — Date the fixing applies to (YYYY-MM-DD).

      - `currency` string, nullable — Currency name in English (e.g. 'dollar', 'euro', 'yen').
      - `amount` integer, nullable — Upstream CNB multiplier (1, 100, or 1000 units). Used to compute the per-unit mid rate.
      - `rate` number, nullable — Raw CNB rate as published - expressed as CZK per `amount` units of the currency.
      - `mid_czk` number, nullable — Normalised mid rate in CZK per 1 unit of the currency (`rate / amount`).

    - `provider` string, required — API name and version.
    - `source` string, nullable — Identifier of the primary upstream source used for this response.
    - `attribution` string, nullable — Human-readable attribution mandated by an upstream source (e.g. a securities regulator or self-regulatory organization). Present only on responses whose source requires the owner and source to be clearly identified. Do not remove or alter it when using the response.
    - `fallback_used` boolean, nullable — True when the primary source failed and a fallback produced the data.
    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
    - `cached` boolean, nullable — True when this response was served from the internal cache.
    - `stale` boolean, nullable — True when the cached response was returned after the upstream rate-limited or errored. Clients can use this to detect degraded data.
