# CNB daily CZK fixing for a single currency

`GET /api/v1/cnb/fx/{ccy}`

CNB daily CZK fixing filtered to a single ISO 4217 currency code. The upstream `amount` multiplier is normalised to per-unit mid rate. Accepts any currency present on the CNB fixing table - USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CNY, AUD, CAD, PLN, HUF, SEK, NOK, DKK, BGN, RON, TRY, ZAR, NZD, SGD, KRW, INR, ILS, MXN, BRL, PHP, THB, IDR, MYR, ISK, HKD, XDR (SDR).

## Path parameters

- `ccy` string, required — Currency ISO 4217 code (case-insensitive). Use XDR for the IMF Special Drawing Right.

## Query parameters

- `date` string, nullable — Optional fixing date (YYYY-MM-DD). Defaults to today.

## Response `200`

CNB CZK fixing row for the requested currency with the per-unit mid rate.

    - `valid_for` string, nullable — Date the fixing applies to (YYYY-MM-DD).
    - `currency_code` string, required — ISO 4217 currency code requested.
    - `rate` CnbFxRate, required — One CNB FX fixing row. `mid_czk` is normalised to CZK per 1 unit of the currency.
      - `valid_for` string, nullable — Date the fixing applies to (YYYY-MM-DD).
      - `currency_code` string, nullable — ISO 4217 currency code (e.g. USD, EUR, JPY). Legacy pre-euro codes (DEM, ATS, XEU) appear in historical data.
      - `country` string, nullable — Country or area name in English (follows `lang=EN`).
      - `currency` string, nullable — Currency name in English (e.g. 'dollar', 'euro', 'yen').
      - `amount` integer, nullable — Upstream CNB multiplier (1, 100, or 1000 units). Used to compute the per-unit mid rate.
      - `rate` number, nullable — Raw CNB rate as published - expressed as CZK per `amount` units of the currency.
      - `mid_czk` number, nullable — Normalised mid rate in CZK per 1 unit of the currency (`rate / amount`).
  - `meta` SugraMeta, required — Metadata attached to every /api/v1/* response envelope.
    - `endpoint` string, required — Requested endpoint path.
    - `data_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp of the source data, not of the request.
    - `response_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp when this response was produced.
    - `provider` string, required — API name and version.
    - `source` string, nullable — Identifier of the primary upstream source used for this response.
    - `attribution` string, nullable — Human-readable attribution mandated by an upstream source (e.g. a securities regulator or self-regulatory organization). Present only on responses whose source requires the owner and source to be clearly identified. Do not remove or alter it when using the response.
    - `fallback_used` boolean, nullable — True when the primary source failed and a fallback produced the data.
    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
    - `cached` boolean, nullable — True when this response was served from the internal cache.
    - `stale` boolean, nullable — True when the cached response was returned after the upstream rate-limited or errored. Clients can use this to detect degraded data.

## Other responses

- `401` — Missing or invalid `x-api-key` header.
- `422` — Validation Error
- `429` — Daily rate limit exceeded. Check `X-RateLimit-Reset` for the next window.
- `503` — Upstream source is temporarily unavailable. Retry after a short delay.
