# Full index catalog (2000+ indices)

`GET /api/v1/cboe/indices/all`

The FULL index-definitions catalog - every listed index with name, description, currency, delay, family and launch date - paged (limit/offset, symbol-ascending) and filterable. The curated quick set stays on /indices; any symbol here works on /index/{symbol} (membership does not guarantee a series - an absent history answers 404). currency is the ISO code when the source publishes one and null otherwise (currency_raw keeps the published value - a literal 'dollar' is NOT assumed to be USD). family and launch-date filters apply only to the ~940 items that carry those fields.

## Query parameters

- `q` string, nullable — Case-insensitive substring over symbol and name.
- `currency` string, nullable — Currency code (ISO), e.g. USD.
- `family` string, nullable — Exact index family.
- `featured` boolean, nullable — Only featured (true) or non-featured (false) indices.
- `launched_after` string, nullable — Launch date on/after (YYYY-MM-DD).
- `launched_before` string, nullable — Launch date on/before (YYYY-MM-DD).
- `limit` integer — Page size.
- `offset` integer — Page start.

## Response `200`

One page of the full index catalog.

- EnvelopeCboeAllIndicesData
  - `data` CboeAllIndicesData, required
    - `count_total` integer, required — Indices matching the filters (post-filter cardinality).
    - `count` integer, required — Indices on this page.
    - `offset` integer, required — Page start offset.
    - `has_more` boolean — True when further pages exist beyond this one.
    - `indices` CboeCatalogIndexV1[] — One page, symbol-ascending.
      - `symbol` string, required — Index symbol.
      - `name` string, nullable — Index name as published by the listing exchange.
      - `description` string, nullable — Published index description.
      - `currency` string, nullable — ISO currency code when the source publishes one; null otherwise (a literal 'dollar' upstream is NOT assumed to be USD - measured Canadian rows carry it).
      - `currency_raw` string, nullable — The published currency value, verbatim.
      - `delay_minutes` integer, nullable — Market-data delay in minutes.
      - `featured` boolean — Featured flag as published.
      - `launch_date` string, nullable — Index launch date (YYYY-MM-DD); ~940 of 2481 items carry one.
      - `family` string, nullable — Index family; ~940 of 2481 items carry one.
      - `calc_start_time` string, nullable — Calculation window start (exchange-local).
      - `calc_end_time` string, nullable — Calculation window end (exchange-local).
      - `time_zone` string, nullable — Calculation time zone.
  - `meta` SugraMeta, required — Metadata attached to every /api/v1/* response envelope.
    - `endpoint` string, required — Requested endpoint path.
    - `data_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp of the source data, not of the request.
    - `response_time` string, required — ISO 8601 UTC timestamp when this response was produced.
    - `provider` string, required — API name and version.
    - `source` string, nullable — Identifier of the primary upstream source used for this response.
    - `attribution` string, nullable — Human-readable attribution mandated by an upstream source (e.g. a securities regulator or self-regulatory organization). Present only on responses whose source requires the owner and source to be clearly identified. Do not remove or alter it when using the response.
    - `fallback_used` boolean, nullable — True when the primary source failed and a fallback produced the data.
    - `fallback_chain` string[], nullable — Ordered list of sources attempted, in the order they were tried.
    - `cached` boolean, nullable — True when this response was served from the internal cache.
    - `stale` boolean, nullable — True when the cached response was returned after the upstream rate-limited or errored. Clients can use this to detect degraded data.

## Other responses

- `401` — Missing or invalid `x-api-key` header. JSON body with a stable `code` distinguishing `missing_api_key` (no header sent) from `invalid_api_key` (header sent, key not accepted); any other 401 source carries the generic `unauthorized` with its detail as `reason`. Plus `hint`. `plan` is always null on 401 - an unauthenticated request has no plan; quota exhaustion is 429, not 401.
- `422` — Validation Error
- `429` — Daily rate limit exceeded. Check `X-RateLimit-Reset` for the next window.
- `503` — Upstream source is temporarily unavailable. Retry after a short delay.
