# Update registry

`PUT /api/registries/{id}`

Updates an existing registry. All fields are optional; only provided fields are changed.
Admin role required. Updating a Docker Hub, GHCR, or custom registry is available on every tier. Updating an AWS ECR registry requires an Admiral license. API tokens receive `SCOPE_DENIED`.

  - `name` string, required
  - `url` string, required
  - `type` 'dockerhub' | 'ghcr' | 'ecr' | 'custom', required
  - `username` string, required
  - `secret` string, required — Password, token, or access key. Write-only — never returned in GET responses.
  - `aws_region` string — Required when `type` is `ecr`.

## Response `200`

Registry updated.

## Other responses

- `400` — Validation error.
- `403` — Insufficient permissions or license tier.
- `404` — Resource not found.
- `500` — Internal server error.
