# CaptureTransaction

`POST /v2/locations/{location_id}/transactions/{transaction_id}/capture`

Captures a transaction that was created with the [Charge](https://developer.squareup.com/reference/square_2021-08-18/transactions-api/charge)
endpoint with a `delay_capture` value of `true`.

- `location_id` string, required
- `transaction_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Success

- CaptureTransactionResponse — Defines the fields that are included in the response body of a request to the [CaptureTransaction](https://developer.squareup.com/reference/square_2021-08-18/transactions-api/capture-transaction) endpoint.
  - `errors` Error[] — Any errors that occurred during the request.
    - `category` string, required — The high-level category for the error.
    - `code` string, required — The specific code of the error.
    - `detail` string — A human-readable description of the error for debugging purposes.
    - `field` string — The name of the field provided in the original request (if any) that the error pertains to.
