# Update stream

`PUT /api/video/streams/{id}`

#### Permissions

The API token used to authenticate must have the following scope(s) enabled to make a successful request: _Video_.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.

## Request body

- VideoUpdateStreamRequest — Request body for updating a stream.
  - `url` string, required — RTMP or RTMPS URL. This must be the address of a server accepting incoming RTMP/RTMPS streams.

## Response `200`

Stream response object.

- VideoStream — A video stream object.
  - `id` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
  - `url` string, nullable, required — RTMP or RTMPS URL. This must be the address of a server accepting incoming RTMP/RTMPS streams.
  - `stream_type` string, nullable, required — The type of stream.
  - `width` integer, nullable, required — The stream's width in pixels.
  - `height` integer, nullable, required — The stream's height in pixels.
  - `fps` integer, nullable, required — The stream's frames per second.
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required — Timestamp when the stream was created.
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required — Timestamp when the stream was last updated.

## Other responses

- `401` — Access is unauthorized.
- `404` — The server cannot find the requested resource.
- `422` — The request contains invalid parameters. See errors for details.
- `500` — An internal server error occurred.
