# Get next queue member

`GET /api/relay/rest/queues/{queue_id}/members/next`

Retrieves the next member in the queue without dequeuing.

#### Permissions

The API token used to authenticate must have the following scope(s) enabled to make a successful request: _Voice_.

## Path parameters

- `queue_id` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.

## Response `200`

The request has succeeded.

- QueueMemberResponse — Response containing a single queue member.
  - `call_id` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
  - `project_id` string, required — The ID of the project associated with this queue member.
  - `queue_id` string, required — The ID of the queue associated with this queue member.
  - `position` integer, required — Queue member position in the queue.
  - `uri` string, required — The URL of this queue member.
  - `wait_time` integer — Wait time in seconds since the member was enqueued. If not yet enqueued, it will be null.
  - `date_enqueued` string, date-time — When the queue member was last enqueued.

## Other responses

- `401` — Access is unauthorized.
- `404` — The server cannot find the requested resource.
- `500` — An internal server error occurred.
