# Update Conference

`POST /Accounts/{AccountSid}/Conferences/{Sid}`

Allows you to modify the properties of a conference.

#### Permissions

The API token used to authenticate must have the following scope(s) enabled to make a successful request: _Voice_.

## Path parameters

- `AccountSid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
- `Sid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.

## Response `200`

The request has succeeded.

- ConferenceResponse — Response containing a single conference.
  - `sid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
  - `account_sid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
  - `date_created` string, required — The date, in RFC 2822 format, this conference was created.
  - `date_updated` string, required — The date, in RFC 2822 format, this conference was updated.
  - `friendly_name` string, required — A description, up to 64 characters, of the conference room.
  - `status` 'init' | 'in-progress' | 'completed', required — Conference status.
  - `api_version` string, required — The version of the SignalWire API.
  - `region` string, required — The region where this conference audio was mixed.
  - `uri` string, required — The URI for this conference.
  - `subresource_uris` ConferenceSubresourceUris, required — Conference subresource URIs.
    - `participants` string, required — Links to the participants.
    - `recordings` string, required — Links to the recordings.

## Other responses

- `400` — The request was invalid or cannot be processed. Check the error details for more information.
- `401` — Authentication failed. Please verify your credentials and try again.
- `404` — The requested resource was not found. Please verify the resource identifier.
- `422` — The request could not be processed due to validation errors. Check the error details for more information.
- `503` — The service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.
