Google Trends

Interest by region

Get interest by region for a search term.

Google's widget has a resolution hierarchy — you can't ask for country-level data inside a specific country. Passing resolution=auto (the default) uses whatever resolution the widget itself returned, which is always valid.

Region granularity. auto (default) uses Google's widget default, which is COUNTRY for worldwide queries and REGION (state/province) for single-country queries. Overriding to COUNTRY when geo is set returns HTTP 400 from Google — use REGION, DMA, or CITY in that case.
