# Create new user who can access your Rocket.net account. An email will be sent for them to set their password.

`POST /v1/users`

Create new user.

## Request body

- CreateUserRequest
  - `firstname` string, required — User's first name
  - `lastname` string, required — User's last name
  - `email` string, required — User's email address
  - `twofactor_required` boolean — Require this user to enable 2-factor authentication in order to user their account
  - `roles` string[] — If passed, the user will have these roles rather than the default (account_user)

## Response `200`

OK

  - `success` boolean — whether the request succeeded
  - `errors` string[]
  - `messages` string[], nullable

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Authentication failed
- `403` — Not authorized to access endpoint
- `404` — User not found
- `405` — Invalid input
- `500` — Internal error
