# Update user

`PATCH /v1/users/{user_id}`

For a given user, update their information

## Path parameters

- `user_id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- UpdateUserRequest
  - `twofactor_required` boolean — Require the user to use two-factor to log into Rocket.net
  - `roles` string[] — Update user's roles

## Response `200`

OK

- UserResponse
  - `success` boolean — whether the request succeeded
  - `errors` string[]
  - `messages` string[], nullable

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Authentication failed
- `403` — Not authorized to access endpoint
- `404` — User not found
- `405` — Invalid input
- `500` — Internal error
