# Enable ShopShield for a URI

`POST /v1/sites/{id}/shop_shield`

Enable ShopShield for a URI

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required — ID of the Site you are interacting with

## Request body

- EnableShopShieldRequest
  - `uri` string, required — The URI that is protected by ShopShield. Must start with a / or the domain such as https://example.com/shop or /shop
  - `notify_site_owner` boolean — Whether to notify the site owner when ShopShield is enabled

## Response `200`

  - `success` boolean — whether the request succeeded
  - `errors` string[]
  - `messages` string[], nullable
  - `result` ShopShieldURI
    - `id` string, uuid — The ID of the URI that is protected by ShopShield
    - `uri` string — The URI that is protected by ShopShield
    - `created_at` string — The date and time the URI was protected by ShopShield
    - `updated_at` string — The date and time the URI was last updated

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Authentication failed
- `403` — Not authorized to access endpoint
- `404` — Given site not found for user
- `405` — Invalid input
- `500` — Internal error
