# Update WordPress plugins on given site

`PUT /v1/sites/{id}/plugins`

Endpoint that can be used to update already installed plugin to a newer version on given site.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required — ID of the Site you are interacting with

## Request body

- UpdatePluginRequest
  - `plugin` string, required — Plugin name/slug

## Response `200`

OK

- UpdatePluginResponse
  - `success` boolean — whether the request succeeded
  - `errors` string[]
  - `messages` string[], nullable
  - `result` object[]
    - `name` string — Plugin name/slug
    - `old_version` string — Version of the plugin that was installed
    - `new_version` string — Version of the plugin that is now installed
    - `note` 'Plugin updated successfully' | 'Plugin already updated' — Status of the update

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Authentication failed
- `403` — Not authorized to access endpoint
- `404` — Given site not found for user
- `405` — Invalid input
- `500` — Internal error
