# Request that your Rocket.net account be cancelled

`POST /v1/account/cancel`

Submits a cancellation request that will be reviewed and completed by the billing team

## Request body

- CancelAccountRequest — Request to cancel a Rocket.net account
  - `timeline` 'immediate' | 'end_of_billing_period', required — Specifies whether the account cancellation request should take effect immediately or at the end of the current billing cycle
  - `description` string, required — Brief description of reason for cancelling the account
