# Archive a customer.

`POST /customer/{customer_id}/archive`

Deactivate a customer, revoking their license and access to associated resources.
Useful for offboarding or suspending customers without deleting their data.

Required RBAC Policy: kots/license/[:licenseid]/archive

## Path parameters

- `customer_id` string, required

## Response `204`

On success, no payload returned

## Other responses

- `400` — Returned on bad input
- `401` — Return if the caller is not authorized
- `403` — Returned if the caller does not have the needed permission
- `404` — Returned on resource not found
