# Archive releases.

`POST /app/{app_id}/releases/archive`

Archive one or more releases for the specified app, making them unavailable for deployment or download.
Active releases cannot be archived.

Required RBAC Policy: kots/app/[:appid]/release/[:releasesequence]/archive

## Path parameters

- `app_id` string, required

## Request body

  - `sequences` integer[] — The release sequences to archive

## Response `200`

ArchiveReleasesResponse contains response properties

## Other responses

- `400` — Returned on bad input
- `401` — Return if the caller is not authorized
- `403` — Returned if the caller does not have the needed permission
- `404` — Returned on resource not found
