# Retrieve Redis connection info

`GET /redis/{redisId}/connection-info`

Retrieve connection info for a Redis instance by ID. Connection info includes sensitive information.
This API is deprecated in favor of the Key Value API.

## Path parameters

- `redisId` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful response

- RedisConnectionInfo — A Redis instance
  - `internalConnectionString` string, required — The connection string to use from within Render
  - `externalConnectionString` string, password, required — The connection string to use from outside Render
  - `redisCLICommand` string, password, required — The Redis CLI command to connect to the Redis instance

## Other responses

- `400` — The request could not be understood by the server.
- `401` — Authorization information is missing or invalid.
- `404` — Unable to find the requested resource.
- `429` — Rate limit has been surpassed.
- `500` — An unexpected server error has occurred.
- `503` — Server currently unavailable.
