# Get or set poll interval

`POST /vfs/poll-interval`

Reads or updates the VFS poll interval duration, optionally waiting for the change to apply.

## Query parameters

- `fs` string
- `interval` string
- `timeout` string
- `_group` string
- `_async` boolean

## Headers

- `Prefer` 'respond-async'

## Request body

- VfsPollIntervalRequest
  - `fs` string — Optional VFS identifier whose poll interval should be queried or modified.
  - `interval` string — Duration string (e.g. `5m`) to set as the new poll interval.
  - `timeout` string — Duration to wait for the poll interval change to take effect; `0` waits indefinitely.
  - `_group` string — Assign the request to a custom stats group.
  - `_async` boolean — Run the command asynchronously. Returns a job id immediately.

## Response `200`

Status of the poll-interval setting, possibly including the new interval.

- `202` — Request accepted for async processing. Poll /job/status with the returned jobid.
- `4XX` — Any error response (HTTP 4xx/5xx)
- `5XX` — Any error response (HTTP 4xx/5xx)
