# Copy from URL

`POST /operations/copyurl`

Downloads a public URL and stores it at the requested remote path.

## Query parameters

- `fs` string
- `remote` string
- `url` string
- `autoFilename` boolean
- `_group` string
- `_async` boolean

## Headers

## Request body

- OperationsCopyurlRequest
  - `fs` string — Remote name or path that will receive the downloaded file, e.g. `drive:`.
  - `remote` string — Destination path within `fs` where the fetched object will be stored.
  - `url` string — Source URL to fetch the object from.
  - `autoFilename` boolean — Set to true to derive the destination filename from the URL.
  - `_group` string — Assign the request to a custom stats group.
  - `_async` boolean — Run the command asynchronously. Returns a job id immediately.

## Response `200`

Request succeeded returning an empty JSON object.
