# Initialize import

`POST /v1/wallets/import/init`

Initialize a wallet import. Complete by submitting the import.

## Headers

- `privy-app-id` string, required — ID of your Privy app.

## Request body

- union
  - HDInitInput — The input for HD wallets.
    - `address` string, required — The address of the wallet to import.
    - `chain_type` 'ethereum' | 'solana' | 'stellar' | 'tron' | 'sui' | 'aptos', required — The chain type of the wallet to import. Supports `ethereum`, `solana`, `stellar`, `tron`, `sui`, and `aptos`.
    - `encryption_type` 'HPKE', required — The encryption type of the wallet to import. Currently only supports `HPKE`.
    - `entropy_type` 'hd', required — The entropy type of the wallet to import.
    - `index` integer, required — The index of the wallet to import.
  - PrivateKeyInitInput — The input for private key wallets.
    - `address` string, required — The address of the wallet to import.
    - `chain_type` 'ethereum' | 'solana' | 'stellar' | 'tron' | 'sui' | 'aptos', required — The chain type of the wallet to import. Supports `ethereum`, `solana`, `stellar`, `tron`, `sui`, and `aptos`.
    - `encryption_type` 'HPKE', required — The encryption type of the wallet to import. Currently only supports `HPKE`.
    - `entropy_type` 'private-key', required

## Response `200`

The encryption public key to encrypt the wallet entropy with.

  - `encryption_public_key` string, required — The base64-encoded encryption public key to encrypt the wallet entropy with.
  - `encryption_type` 'HPKE', required — The encryption type of the wallet to import. Currently only supports `HPKE`.
