# Update an Org

`PUT /orgs/{name}`

Update a org (must have org `owner` role)

## Path parameters

- `name` string, required

## Request body

- OrganizationUpdate
  - `account_name` string — The unique name of the org in small case without spaces
  - `name` string — The display name for this org
  - `picture_url` string — URL to the picture associated with this org
  - `contact_email` string — The contact email for the Organization
  - `description` string — A description of the org

## Response `202`

Accepted

- UpdateAccepted — Accepted request response for existing resource
  - `status` string

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid request
- `403` — Access forbidden
- `404` — Not found
- `422` — Validation Error
- `500` — Server error
