# Cancel a transfer authorization

`POST /transfer/authorization/cancel`

Use the `/transfer/authorization/cancel` endpoint to cancel a transfer authorization. A transfer authorization is eligible for cancellation if it has not yet been used to create a transfer.

## Request body

- TransferAuthorizationCancelRequest — Defines the request schema for `/transfer/authorization/cancel`
  - `client_id` string — Your Plaid API `client_id`. The `client_id` is required and may be provided either in the `PLAID-CLIENT-ID` header or as part of a request body.
  - `secret` string — Your Plaid API `secret`. The `secret` is required and may be provided either in the `PLAID-SECRET` header or as part of a request body.
  - `authorization_id` string, required — Plaid's unique identifier for a transfer authorization.

## Response `200`

OK

- TransferAuthorizationCancelResponse — Defines the response schema for `/transfer/authorization/cancel`
  - `request_id` string, required — A unique identifier for the request, which can be used for troubleshooting. This identifier, like all Plaid identifiers, is case sensitive.
