# Set verification status for Sandbox account

`POST /sandbox/item/set_verification_status`

The `/sandbox/item/set_verification_status` endpoint can be used to change the verification status of an Item in the Sandbox in order to simulate the Automated Micro-deposit flow.

## Request body

- SandboxItemSetVerificationStatusRequest — SandboxItemSetVerificationStatusRequest defines the request schema for `/sandbox/item/set_verification_status`
  - `client_id` string — Your Plaid API `client_id`. The `client_id` is required and may be provided either in the `PLAID-CLIENT-ID` header or as part of a request body.
  - `secret` string — Your Plaid API `secret`. The `secret` is required and may be provided either in the `PLAID-SECRET` header or as part of a request body.
  - `access_token` string, required — The access token associated with the Item for which data is being requested.
  - `account_id` string, required — The `account_id` of the account whose verification status is to be modified
  - `verification_status` 'automatically_verified' | 'verification_expired', required — The verification status to set the account to.

## Response `200`

OK

- SandboxItemSetVerificationStatusResponse — SandboxItemSetVerificationStatusResponse defines the response schema for `/sandbox/item/set_verification_status`
  - `request_id` string, required — A unique identifier for the request, which can be used for troubleshooting. This identifier, like all Plaid identifiers, is case sensitive.
