# Create Section

`POST /sections`

Create a new section.     
This endpoint endpoint let's you create a new section. Only Group Managers and above can use this endpoint. Business Managers are restricted from accessing this endpoint. For more information about the group system, see [the Groups and Sections description](/guides/api/resources/organizations/groups).

## Request body

- object — Request body to create a section
  - `name` string, required — Name of the section. Cannot include any of the following characters: `,;/`
  - `org_id` integer — Unique identifier of the organization in which to create the section (only available to `PROVIDER` users)

## Response `200`

OK

- SectionCreateSuccessResponse
  - `status` 'success' — Request status
  - `id` integer — ID of the created section

## Other responses

- `400` — Section name already exists
- `401` — You are not authenticated
- `403` — You are not allowed to perform this action
