# Set Site Owner

`PUT /v0/sites/{site_id}/owner`

Sets the site owner by creating a promote_site_user_to_owner workflow. This transfers site ownership.

## Path parameters

- `site_id` string, required

## Request body

- SetOwnerRequest
  - `user_id` string — User ID to promote to owner

## Response `200`

- SiteWorkflowCreationResponse
  - `active_description` string — Active description of current workflow step
  - `created_at` number, double — Creation timestamp
  - `id` string, required — Workflow ID
  - `number_of_tasks` integer — Number of tasks in the workflow
  - `type` string — Workflow type
