# Add relationships between a Node and Institutions

`POST /nodes/{node_id}/relationships/institutions/`

Add new affiliated institutions to the node, while keeping the existing ones intact.
#### Permissions
 - The authenticated user must have admin permissions on the node.

#### Request Body
 - A `data` array containing additional institution resource identifier objects to be added.

#### Returns
 - The updated list of affiliated institutions for the node.

## Path parameters

- `node_id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `data` object[]
    - `type` 'institutions', required — Must be `institutions`.
    - `id` string, required — The unique identifier for the institution.

## Response `200`

Successfully added affiliated institutions to the node.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request. The submitted data is invalid.
- `401` — Unauthorized. Authentication is required.
- `403` — Forbidden. You do not have permission to modify institutions for this node.
- `404` — Not Found. No node matches the given ID.
