# Rename File or Directory

`POST /api/assets/rename`

## Request body

- RenameFileDto
  - `source` string, required — The source path of the file or directory to be renamed
  - `newName` string, required — New name for renaming the file or directory

## Response `200`

Successfully renamed the file or directory.

## Other responses

- `400` — Failed to rename the file or directory.
